Aydin & Vickey were absolutely amazing hosts, nothing is ever too much trouble and they have a gorgeous house in the lovely Dalyan, walking distance to the village. The pool area is superb. Great people who live in the area and know where to go for literally anything - if you are planning a trip to Türkiye, you definitely need to stay with them and get guidance on where to go.

Aşkim Manaakitanga is a truly wonderful option for accommodation abroad and I highly recommend it. Vickey and Aydin, the lovely couple who have a beautiful home that is not only clean and well-maintained, but also filled with a sense of collaboration and warmth. I cannot thank them enough for all the services they provided during our stay, from helping with airport transfers to organising sightseeing tours. Their hospitality truly made our experience abroad even more memorable. From the comfortable and cozy rooms to the delicious meal they served, everything was top-notch. I could truly feel their genuine care and effort to make us feel at home. Staying at Aşkim Manaakitanga was one of the highlights of our trip and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a welcoming and comfortable place to stay while abroad. Vickey and Aydin truly embody the spirit of manaakitanga, making their guests feel like part of their family.

The stay was lovely and the hosts were very hospitable. The house was beautiful and felt like home. I had my broken tooth replaced with a cap and had two fillings for a third of what I would had paid for in New Zealand. I also purchased a six month supply of contact lenses.  The price I paid for a six month supply was equivalent to one month in NZ. I also upgraded my glasses with all the extras for far more less than what I would had paid for at home.

Vickey and Aydin are the most amazing hosts. The beauty of two cultures combining, where manaakitanga is shown through kindness, respect, care and generosity and whakawhanaungatanga where everyone is treated like family are the cornerstone. I spent a month staying with Vickey and Aydin in June / July 2023. I was shown so many beautiful parts of Türkiye I would have never seen had I organised my own itinerary. They are the most beautiful people who love hosting and really do spoil their guests. I also had teeth whitening done whilst in Türkiye that was a portion of the cost I would pay at home in N.Z. I would go back in a heartbeat and highly recommend Vickey and Aydin to be your hosts. You will not regret it. In fact, you won't want to leave.

Vickey and Aydin’s hospitality/Manaakitanga was the highlight of my trip. Their house was beautiful and felt like home. I got my teeth done (wisdom teeth removed, fillings and cleaning). I also got my eye contacts from Ozge Ortaca. I loved their home cooked, Turkish breakfast - reminds you of being at home and your whānau (family) cooking for you… creates that home away from home feeling. Turkish eggs, Turkish coffee, freshly squeezed juice, fresh bread delivered daily, sitting outside, being served fresh and delicious meals.

I loved:

  1. Boo boo Jim - their cat

  2. Pool, and loungers

  3. The convenience of being driven to the Dentist and having Aydin translate, feel safe and looked after

  4. Very clean and high quality Dentist.

  5. Accomodation - comfortable beds with ensuite

  6. Bikes available to wander into town (15minute walk, 5 minute drive).

  7. Being welcomed and farewelled at the airport.
